Parts from my fanfics that I really quite like… Pt 2 (because I’m a bigheaded person)

A hint of a smile danced on my lips as I began to notice his mannerisms. The way he tapped his feet to music that nobody else heard, the way he’d run his hands through his hair when it flopped in front of his eyes, the way he’d hum to himself and crack up laughing at his own silent thoughts.

—————————————-

I smiled and nodded like I had the vaguest idea what the fuck they were talking about.

—————————————-

“I get the feeling that he thinks everything vaguely humanoid is hot.”

Party laughed.

“I get the feeling that you’d be right.”

—————————————-

“Kobra Kid.” he said, with an awkward smile. Something told me smiling was not something he regularly partook in, but he had a natural air of friendly charm that made it impossible not to like him.

—————————————-

“We’re all dying, loverboy.” I said, putting my arm round him. “It’s just a case of whether you do it in style.” I did jazz hands and he rolled his eyes.

—————————————-

“How did you survive?” he asked. He obviously didn’t get the message. I stood up, shrugged off my jacket. Cuts and wounds littered my slim figure, patched up bullet-holes and bruises. My vest was torn and frayed.

“How do you think?” I asked, coldly. I turned away, staring moodily out the window.

—————————————-

And in trying so hard to save him; she forgot to save herself.

—————————————-

The coffee was strong. Ridiculously strong. I took one sip and spat in back into the cup. Party gulped it down like Pepsi; I watched with wide eyes.

“How can you drink this stuff?” I asked. “It’s like acid!”

Party laughed.

“Just how I like it.” he said, pouring himself another cup. “Water?”

—————————————-

I took my raygun out of it’s holster, took a breath, and pressed the barrel to my temple.

My mind was cleared of thoughts, only focusing on the coldness of the metal against my skin.
